Wilde Recreation is where the wilderness meets adventure in northern Maine! We’re an outdoor adventure company affiliated with St. Peter’s Country Store in Cross Lake, Maine. Established in late 2021, Wilde Recreation was born out of a need for outdoor adventures that are both affordable and extraordinary for locals and visitors to Aroostook County (aka “the County”). We strive to make it safe, fun, and easy for visitors to explore “The County” year-round, so our services change with the seasons. You’ll be able to rent snowmobiles, live bait, and ice fishing gear in colder months. During warmer weather, you can join us for an off-road tour of St. John Valley.
We’re a one-stop-shop for the recreational adventurer. We offer lodging, high-end vehicles, direct access to the Interconnected Trail System (which actually runs through our property!), and a store—all on-site. The latter, St. Peter’s Country Store, has been a meeting spot for locals to hear about community events and pick up groceries, goods, and gasoline for over 123 years.
Wilde Recreation is proud to be the only Off-Road Certified Polaris Adventure Outfitter in Aroostook County. This association provides us with new, top-of-the-line machines each season, backed by Polaris’ service and support.
